In 2004 we launched Alianza de Futbol to give Hispanic players the same opportunities as Anglos and open the door of success in soccer and life.
We are proud to say that it has worked and we have seen results. Julio Morales, for example, is only one of 24 star players who obtained a professional contract through 7UP Sueño Alianza. Now, Julio not only plays for Chivas de Guadalajara, but also forms part of the Mexican U20 player pool.
In our tenth season, we will continue to have tournaments and tryouts in 10 major U.S. cities beginning in April and ending in September. We will have tryouts with legendary scouts from teams like Chivas de Guadalajara, America, Pachuca, Mexican Football Federation, MLS, U.S. Soccer and others, all in search of the next Julio Morales. And who knows, that player could be you!
In 2013 we will also launch Alianza U, a program that provides academic guidance in order to inform the players of the tools they need to know in order to continue their development at the university level, through workshops, both in person and via the Internet .
