ALIANZA DE FUTBOL AND LALIGA NORTH AMERICA PARTNER ON GRASSROOTS INITIATIVE FOCUSED ON GROWTH AND YOUTH PARTICIPATION

The partnership pairs the best soccer league in the world and the largest Hispanic amateur soccer program in the country delivering on the mission to help grow soccer in the U.S.

NEW YORK, NY – May 21, 2019 – Alianza de Futbol, the largest and most prestigious Hispanic amateur soccer program in the country and LaLiga North America, the joint venture between LaLiga and Relevent Sports Group, announced a multi-year partnership today. The deal is designed to support the growth of the sport in the U.S. by leveraging the world’s best soccer league to create more opportunities for youth participation and development specifically focused in the Hispanic community.

LaLiga coaches will be invited to the Allstate Sueño Alianza National Showcase, which brings together the best undiscovered soccer talent in the U.S. There, the coaches will select the best players for an all-star team that will travel to Spain for a 2-week tour. The all-star team will train and play against LaLiga academies and other clubs in Spain, showcasing their talent to top scouts in the league.

The top-flight Spanish soccer league will also participate in Alianza’s 10-city tour across the country from May to September, getting close to 300,000 attendees in key markets, bringing LaLiga and its clubs to their backyard.

During each of the local Alianza de Futbol events in Atlanta, Phoenix, Houston, Dallas, Denver, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and El Paso, LaLiga will have its marquee fan interactive experience, “LaLiga Zone” activation, where fans can take a photo with LaLiga’s championship trophy and pose with the official uniforms for all 20 LaLiga Santander clubs.
