Alianza de Futbol Hires Hugo Pérez as coach of the Alianza All-Star Team
Hugo Perez, former US National Team player and former head coach of the U-14 and U-15 USMNT, has joined Alianza de Futbol as head coach of the U-14 Alianza All Star team that will compete in the prestigious ICC Futures tournament.
Alianza de Futbol features Allstate Sueño Alianza, a free open tryout program hosted in 10 US cities. In 2019, the program will introduce the U-14 tryout category at which Hugo Perez will select and train the the best U-14 players to represent Alianza at ICC Futures. ICC Futures has become the most prestigious international youth tournament in the world and includes the participation of the elite teams of Europe and MLS.

Hugo Pérez will travel to the local Allstate Sueño Alianza tryouts and to the Allstate Sueño Alianza National Showcase where he will select the final 18 players that will represent Alianza de Futbol at the ICC Futures 2019.
In addition to his role as All-Star Team coach, Hugo Pérez will participate in the Alianza Coaching Clinics, the largest program in the country curated exclusively for Hispanic coaches.
Born in El Salvador, Hugo Perez became a naturalized citizen and represented the USA on the Men’s National Team from 1984-1994 concluding his National Team career representing the Stars & Stripes at the FIFA World Cup 1994 played in the USA. He played professionally in the USA, France, Sweden, Saudi Arabia and El Salvador over a 14-year professional career.
During his career as coach for the U-14s and U-15s at US Soccer, Hugo Pérez played an important part in the development of players including Christian Pulisic and Jonathan González, 2013 Allstate Sueño Alianza Alumni.
