Local soccer talent came to light during Allstate Sueño Alianza’s final tryouts, which took place at Eastside Sports Complex. Bryan Salas, Diego Pepi and Marco Astorga stood out among more than 300 players that came to tryout against elite teams from Liga MX, such as Pachuca, Chivas, Atlas, Santos Laguna and Querétaro, as well as FC Dallas and Seattle Sounders from MLS.

Selecting the winners was no easy task for the attending scouts, but the talent and unyielding determination of Bryan, Diego and Marco got them through to the next stage as the top contenders in their respective categories. Neither the summer heat, nor the accumulated fatigue were able to deter these dedicated players; they came in strong and left having served up the performance of a lifetime.

Bryan Salas from the U-14 category, Diego Pepi from the U-17 category and Marco Astorga from the U-20 category were selected among the 48 top finalists as the best in their city.

In U-14, Bryan Salas, from El Paso, TX, is a forward. From the U-17 category, Diego Pepi, from Dallas, TX plays as a forward. And from the U-20’s, Marco Astorga is a midfielder from Canutillo, TX.

The following players also received professional invitations from the attending scouts: Alejandro Esparza (Atlas), Edgar Lerma (Atlas), Diego Pepi (Santos Laguna), Johan Martínez (Querétaro & Santos Laguna), Bryan Salas (Atlas & Chivas) and Marco Astorga (Atlas & Seattle Sounders).

This was the final stop during the 2019 Allstate Sueño Alianza Tour. Now, the best 50 players of the country will attend the Allstate Sueño Alianza National Showcase.
