Alianza de Futbol successfully concluded its 20th edition, awarding 95 invitations at the Allstate Sueño Alianza National Showcase 2024 held at the prestigious IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
Throughout the year, thousands of Hispanic youth displayed their talents across eight cities visited by Alianza de Futbol, ultimately selecting 64 skilled players for the National Showcase. This event attracted 26 scouts from Liga MX, MLS, and various federations, all eager to discover emerging talent.
Attending Scouts:
The National Showcase experience began on October 27, when young players arrived at IMG Academy for registration, received their uniforms, and met their teammates and coaches under the leadership of Rafael Calderón.
On the second day, players participated in Media Day with interviews by TUDN and played their first match on the IMG Academy fields. On the third day, Alyssa López and Evan Guerrero were awarded the Ford Qué Golazo Grant, attended talks by Access U Foundation, and engaged in intensive training sessions in preparation for the final match with scouts in attendance.
Day four was decisive and thrilling, as the young players faced IMG Academy teams, securing victories in every match and leaving a strong impression on the attending scouts.
The closing ceremony featured the traditional scarf presentation hosted by Ana Caty Hernández from ViX and TUDN. At the event, Heath Pearce, director of For Soccer Ventures, and Karin Fazio, representative of Allstate, delivered inspiring messages, encouraging players to pursue their dreams.
Nathan Ochoa and Vanessa Aguilar were awarded MVP honors for the National Showcase. Ochoa received eleven invitations and Aguilar five, all direct tryout invitations with potential to earn a professional contract.
Additionally, Zoey Rodríguez and Diego Guillén were honored with the Access U award from the Access U Foundation, recognizing their exceptional academic and athletic achievements and granting them opportunities to combine education and sports in the United States.
