Nico Carrera has written a new chapter of success in Alianza de Futbol's history by being promoted to the Bundesliga in Germany with Holstein Kiel, a unique milestone in the club's sports career.

Holstein Kiel drew 1-1 with Fortuna Düsseldorf, a result sufficient for Carrera's team to achieve an unprecedented feat, debuting next season in the top tier.

Carrera's team has achieved remarkable feats in just ten years, with a meteoric rise that took them from the fourth division to the 2. Bundesliga in 2017, and now, seven years later, they have leaped the Bundesliga.

Nico, an example of perseverance and determination to fulfill his dreams, signed with Holstein Kiel in 2020, subsequently debuting with the club's first team. Before joining Holstein, he was part of the FC Dallas Academy.

Carrera's story began in Frisco, Texas, in 2016 when he tried out at the Sueño Alianza trials that came to the city. He impressed scouts and attendees, earning a spot in the National Showcase, where he once again stood out among dozens of scouts.

Nico can add the promotion with Holstein to his sporting achievements, such as having played in a World Cup with the United States National Team and progressing through the national team ranks, something our Alianza talent is accustomed to.

Carrera has been one of the most important prospects in Alianza's history, along with young talents like Santiago Muñoz, Nina Nicosia, Mauricio Isáis, Jonathan González, Elliana Ramírez, Adrián González, Jaylen Vallecillo, and Aniya Williams.

We are proud of you, Nico! Much success in the Bundesliga.
