Alianza de Futbol is proud to celebrate the incredible journey of Sergio Hernández. As an Allstate Sueño Alianza alumni, he has risen through the ranks to become a professional player for Club Pachuca in Liga MX.
The 22-year-old midfielder participated in the Allstate Sueño Alianza Tryouts in 2021, impressing scouts with his talent and determination. Fast forward to the Apertura 2024, Hernández made his much-anticipated debut with Pachuca’s first team in July during Week 3. By September, he had earned a starting position, playing in 13 matches and logging 543 minutes on the field. He also made his mark by scoring two goals during the tournament.
After the Apertura, Tuzos' coach Guillermo Almada included Hernández in the squad for the prestigious Intercontinental Cup. Hernández had the honor of playing in the Final against Real Madrid, coming on as a substitute for Nelson Deossa in the 89th minute. Despite Pachuca’s 3-0 loss, it was a day to remember for the young midfielder and a proud moment for the Alianza de Futbol community.
Sergio Hernández’s journey is a testament to the opportunities that Alianza de Futbol creates for young players with big dreams. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for him as he continues to shine professionally.
Stay tuned for more success stories from our Alianza alumni.
