One of the most acclaimed tournaments and also the most important and prestigious amateur soccer competition for the Hispanic community in the United States, took place for a second time on the 2022 Alianza de Futbol tour.
Verizon Copa Alianza crowned the 'Latinos' team, who after drawing 0-0 during regular time of the final round, won 5-3 in an intense penalty shootout against Terrel FC.
The tournament had the participation of 200 soccer players and 10 teams distributed in 3 groups, all of them with the same goal, win the tittle, the $5,000 dollars prize and a place against the runner-up team, in the National Finals.
After the first date in Phoenix at the end of May, Latinos and Terrel FC have joined Chiriaco and Delfines, as the 4 teams that have made it this far to compete for the $50,000 dollars in the Verizon Copa Alianza National Finals, the most important Alianza de Futbol event that will be held in November.
The next stop on the 2022 Alianza de Futbol and Verizon Copa Alianza tour will take place next Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26, in Denver, Colorado.
