Hispanic Heritage Month (from September 15 to October 15) has begun, a time to recognize and celebrate the marks that Hispanics have left in the United States. This year, Alianza de Futbol, in its 20th anniversary, joins this commemoration by reflecting on the impact and legacy that our community has built in the country.
The story of Alianza de Futbol is intertwined with that of millions of Hispanic families. Over the past 20 years, we have witnessed how soccer, more than just a sport, has become a bond that unites generations, cultures, and dreams. The Allstate Sueño Alianza tournaments and tryouts have not only nurtured talent across different cities, but they have also opened doors to incredible opportunities, both in clubs in Mexico and the United States, as well as national teams, creating a bridge between local talent and the most important stages in soccer.
The growth of the Hispanic community, which now exceeds 65 million people (according to the U.S. Census Bureau), reflects not only the impact of our population in political, economic, and social spheres but also the strengthening of our traditions, culture and aspirations. In states like California, Texas, New York, and Florida, where Alianza de Futbol has had a strong presence this year, the vibrant heartbeat of Hispanic heritage can be felt. Cities like Los Angeles, Dallas, San Antonio, and New York have witnessed the passion and commitment of our people while Tampa prepares to host the Allstate Sueño Alianza National Showcase.
Soccer is not just a sport; it is a way of life for millions of Hispanics in the United States. The visits from the Mexican National Team, the matches of MLS and NWSL clubs, and the passion for legendary teams like Chivas and América, which fill stadiums at every game, are proof of how this sport has become a cultural and emotional link that connects Hispanics to their roots and to the communities they have built in this country.
In this Hispanic Heritage Month, Alianza de Futbol stands as a meeting point and celebration for Hispanic families, where dreams are pursued and come true. This is a month to remember that beyond numbers and statistics, what truly defines our heritage is resilience, passion, and the opportunity to dream big.
