Youth talent shone at the San Bernardino Soccer Complex in Los Angeles during the sixth stop of the 2024 Alianza Tour, where 30 direct invitations were awarded to professional clubs and the National Showcase.
During the weekend tryouts, the young players participated in four matches, where the top prospects stood out. These players will have the opportunity to showcase themselves to renowned clubs, with the possibility of signing professional contracts. Additionally, two of them secured their spot in the National Showcase, which will take place later this year.
This year's edition of Allstate Sueño Alianza in Los Angeles attracted 473 young footballers. They were divided into four teams to face squads from LAFC and California Rush. The results were mixed, with victories of 2-1 and 4-0 and defeats of 0-4 and 3-4.
The players displayed their talents in front of scouts from clubs such as San Diego FC, Atlético San Luis, LAFC, Necaxa, LA Galaxy, Real Salt Lake, US Soccer, and Pachuca. Among them, Real Salt Lake of MLS was the team that made the most of the tryouts, signing seven young prospects. LAFC followed them with six signings and Necaxa with five.
Eddie Calderón and Zoey Rodríguez were selected for the National Showcase, where the top prospects from each stop of the Alianza Tour will gather. They will join other qualifiers such as Abbie Ramírez and Robino Lozano from San Antonio, Addison Ramírez and Nathan Ochoa from Dallas, Ángel Castillo, Giancarlo Domínguez, and Laila Carter from Colorado Springs, and Adrián Rentería, Ángel Rosas, and Braelynn Galt from Chicago. At this event, they will be evaluated by the top scouts from Mexico and the United States.
Calderón, from the 2008-2009 category, was the most sought-after player, receiving six invitations for the national event from clubs such as LAFC, Real Salt Lake, Pachuca, Necaxa, and Atlético San Luis. Other players, like Evan Guerrero and Melvin Santacruz, also stood out with two invitations each.

The next stop of the 2024 Alianza Tour will be in San Jose on August 24 and 25 at the Morgan Hill Sports Center. Here, more invitations will be handed out, and the National Showcase will come even closer. This is the most important event of the tour, featuring the top scouts and a scarf ceremony to honor the most outstanding players.
