El Paso, city of many dreams to fulfill

The Alianza de Futbol 2022 tour reached its penultimate stage and El Paso, Texas, one of the cities with the largest number of hispanic people in the entire country, received it in the best way.

On September 10 to 11, The Westside Soccer Complex received 34,000 spectators (the second best attendance so far this year) and 2,228 soccer players distributed among 142 teams.

TUDN Alianza Femenil, registered the participation of 240 players spread over 12 teams, where FC Juárez dressed in glory by beating Lady Jaguares Midland 5-2 in the grand final. ¡! Congratulations!! For the new champions of the only tournament for hispanic women in the United States.

The largest children’s and youth tournament in the country was presented in a big way. Ford Copita Alianza set a very good total record in all its categories with 98 teams and more than 1,600 players.

Here are the champions of the current edition:

U7: Fut Academy 15/16 (6-0)

U9: Blue Cobras 13 (2-0)

U11: Deportivo Alvarado (5-1)

U13: Athletic Club EP 09 Orozco (2-1)

U14 Girls: EP Cosmos (5-4 on penalties)

U15: EP Locomotive 07 Academy (7-6 on penalties)

U16 Girls: EP Surf (2-0)

U17: FC Dallas 05 (2-0)

U19: SunCity FC (3-1)

In turn, Verizon Copa Alianza received 12 teams and 240 soccer players, all with the aim of being crowned in the most important amateur soccer competition in the United States. At the end Cuatingos was deserved champion after beating Petroleros 2-0, and incidentally taking away the undefeated, in a duel full of intensity.

Alianza 5v5 closed in a great way with the different competitions of the weekend. With 20 teams and more than 120 players, the lightning tournament most anticipated by all, ended two days full of talent and emotion. Complete madness!

Cobras 2012 took the U10 after beating Juárez Select 5-2, Cachorros defeated Atlético EP in an exciting penalty shootout (4-3) in the U12, for the U14 Atletic Club won 3-1 against Juventus ; For its part, Búfalos FC was crowned with authority in the U16 after a close 3-2 against Southside Futbol Club, and finally SunCity FC lifted the U18 cup by beating Manchester City FC 3-2.

And to close with a bang, Allstate Sueño Alianza, the most anticipated program for all young hispanics who aim to reach professional soccer.

The more than 600 players who gathered in El Paso, Texas, placed this date as the second best participation of the 2022 tour at the moment, and also where more futbol players have been invited to try out with professional teams (23). In addition, three were lucky enough to receive the coveted blue scarf that opens the doors to the Allstate Sueño Alianza National Showcase.
