Jaylen Vallecillo has written yet another page in the history of Alianza de Futbol by becoming the first woman from Allstate Sueño Alianza to reach a senior national team. This achievement, secured during her debut at the W Gold Cup with the Dominican Republic team, is a major milestone that breaks barriers and redefines what is possible.

Vallecillo participated in the Allstate Sueño Alianza tryouts in 2022 (check out this golazo she scored!) and stood out because of her skill and determination. Thanks to her performance in New York, she qualified for the National Showcase. Despite adverse weather conditions, she excelled and her shine on the field never dimmed – proving she is made for great moments.

Making her Dominican Republic debut

The W Gold Cup, the stage for her debut, is not just another tournament – it is the inaugural edition of the Concacaf competition, bringing together 12 of the best women’s national teams in the Americas (eight from North America, four from South America) together to battle for supremacy.

This tournament, held from February 17 to March 10, culminates in an exciting final at the Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, Calif., marking a significant milestone in international women's soccer.

The Dominican Republic team defeated Guyana 1-0 in a playoff to gain entrance into the tournament’s Group Stage, where they went on to draw the United States, Argentina, and Mexico at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif.

Vallecillo received the opportunity of a lifetime from coach Henry Parra, who included her in the team for the W Gold Cup. As a starter in the team’s first match against the United States, she contributed 46 vital minutes before handing over the baton to defender Alexa Pacheco.

Vallecillo becomes an emblematic figure of Alianza

Her impact goes beyond her performance on the field; she becomes an emblematic figure of Alianza, symbolizing the potential of this program to catalyze talented Hispanic women in the United States to unprecedented levels of excellence. Her story adds to those of figures like Jonathan González, Nico Carrera, Santiago Muñoz, Mauricio Isais, and Elliana Ramírez –all examples of the transformative power of Allstate Sueño Alianza..
