Alianza de Futbol in San Jose

The Morgan Hills Sports Complex in San José stood as the main stage for the seventh date of the Alianza de Futbol Tour 2023. With a turnout of over 2,000 players, the city showcased significant sporting enthusiasm and competitiveness.

The number of registrants in San José was astounding. New teams arose and managed to end the winning streaks of previous champions, notably in the Verizon Copa Alianza, which had different winners than previous editions. Carlos Salcido, a renowned former soccer player for Chivas and the Mexican national team, attended the event, sharing memorable moments with fans who came to witness the level of amateur soccer on display.

Within the Verizon Copa Alianza, 360 players were distributed across 18 teams vying for the coveted trophy. Real Madrid Chenco FC stood out, ending traditional dominances by defeating CTS Hayward 1-0.

On the other hand, the Ford Copita Alianza gathered 1,152 players in 72 teams spread across six distinct categories. Teams like CV Futbol Academy, Integrity, and SV6 Lodi emerged as the main winners in their respective divisions. Women's soccer also had its moment in the spotlight.Salinas Soccer Femenil was crowned in the ViX Alianza Femenil, demonstrating a significant tactical and technical superiority against team NNSL.

The 5v5 Alianza tournament crowned five teams in various categories, with notable performances from Sac City FC, Legends Teal, and Italia FC. The Allstate Sueño Alianza provided a platform for 287 young individuals with professional aspirations. Over two days, 22 of them garnered attention and were selected by scouts from renowned teams.

Kairah Hope, originally from Auburn, WA, secured a spot in the National Showcase in Phoenix and attracted the interest of esteemed Liga MX clubs. Several scouts from significant teams were present, evaluating and picking future soccer talents.

Silicon Valley and the Sacramento Republic stood out by granting a considerable number of invitations, underscoring their interest in local talent. The eighth date of Alianza de Futbol in San José was a resounding success. All eyes are now set on El Paso, Texas, which will host the season's eighth and final date at the Westside Soccer Complex on September 9 and 10. The soccer tradition continues its unstoppable journey.
