Alianza de Fútbol's 2023 Tour has entered its home stretch, and New York City became the epicenter of an exhilarating weekend during the fifth leg of the tournament. With exceptional weather for soccer, over 32,000 fans gathered at Randall's Island Park to revel in an intense lineup of matches featuring more than 2,500 ecstatic participants vying to become champions of the fifth stage of the most prestigious soccer tour for the Hispanic community in the United States.

The event boasted a special visit that stirred the hearts of all in attendance: the legend of Chivas de Guadalajara, Omar Bravo, the team's all-time leading goal scorer, who has consistently shown support for Alianza de Fútbol, being a frequent visitor at various stages of the tour.

Throughout the day, Bravo Tordecillas shared unforgettable moments with hundreds of Chivas supporters, proudly donning iconic jerseys from different eras of the club. From the classic sponsor-less jersey harking back to the early days under Jorge Vergara's leadership to the current era led by Serbian coach Veljko Paunovic, football passion overflowed across the park and at one of Verizon's outlets in the Astoria neighborhood, where the legend interacted with fans for over 3 hours.

As part of the traditional Allstate Sueño Alianza scouting efforts, scouts from teams like Pachuca and Necaxa from Liga MX, as well as Columbus Crew, New York Red Bulls, and FC Cincinnati from Major League Soccer, evaluated 536 footballers, extending 12 invitations for both clubs and the anticipated National Showcase, set to take place in Phoenix at the end of the year.

On the competition front, Internacional SC clinched the championship in the Verizon Copa Alianza, defeating FCI Royals 2-1. The tournament, featuring 160 players across eight teams, delivered exciting encounters from the Group Stage to the grand final. The winners showcased their talent and determination in every match, overcoming Sambo FC 3-1 in the semifinals.

Moreover, the Alianza 5v5 lightning tournament, held on Sunday, the final day of activities, did not disappoint attendees. Intense five-a-side matches kept the excitement alive throughout, with teams relentlessly battling to claim the trophy.

Bergan Stars secured the U10 championship in the youth categories after a dramatic penalty shootout against NY Select LC. Ramos Soccer QNY Morado triumphed in the U12 category by defeating Ramos Soccer QNY Verde 4-0, while G-Elite seized the U14 title with a convincing 3-0 victory over Sal FC Juventus. Azulita FC and Juventus emerged victorious in the U16 and U18 categories, respectively, underscoring the emerging talent in the tournament. In the amateur division, the Ford Copita Alianza brought together the best of the Hispanic community in the United States across seven distinct categories. Stars Federation Club, Baller's Den, NY Select LC, Gualaquiza, Santo Tomás, Red Dragons, and Atlantic Soccer League emerged as champions in their respective divisions, showcasing the tremendous soccer potential within the Hispanic community.

With the conclusion of the fifth leg, Alianza del Fútbol gears up to continue bringing excitement and opportunities to young talents in its sixth stage in Los Angeles, California, on August 19th and 20th, at the iconic San Bernardino Soccer Complex, Alianza's home for the past years.
