Austin closes down the curtain on the 2022 season

This weekend the Alianza de Futbol 2022 Tour finished up with a participation of more than 1170 teams scattered around 10 cities where futbol talent and passion were the main event. Austin, the last city of this tour, was the golden star of a great season that broke attendance records and gave unforgettable moments to the hispanic community of the US, one of the most important of the country.

With more than 22,700 attendees, 1,368 futbol players and 89 teams, “The city of te violet crown” wrapped up the activities of the 17th edition of the Alianza de Futbol that has become a tradition between the amateur futbol community and the fans.

TUDN Alianza Femenil started their activity on the weekend with a great futbol showoff were the Round Rock Soccer Complex sheltered 5 teams and 100 players that were willing to leave it all in the field in order to be crowned champions of the only tournament destined for hispanic woman of the country.

The final was won over by MCA-RT, a team made up by two old acquaintances, Real Tamuín fourth time champions in Houston and Mendoza FC, todays ringing queens of Dallas. After winning 1-0 to Futbolera FC in one of the closes matches of the season.

Ford Copita Alianza registered more than 60 teams and 900 players in all their categories. One of the more proclaimed events was made present in Austin for the last time in the year.

U7: DKSC 2014G HDZ (9-8)

U9: Force SA TX (3-1)

U11: Acuña FC (2-1)

U13: FC DALLAS RGV (2-0)

U15: Cuervos RGV (1-0)

U17: WPB Elite (2-0) (Winner team of the Ford Copita Alianza National Finals in the U19 category last year)

U19: Matambu Cefar (5-1)

Verizon Copa Alianza brought together 10 teams in the most important amateur soccer competition in the country. In addition, the fair was decorated with the participation of two world champions, Julio Gómez and Giovani Casillas, both who belong to Jalisco FC.

As expected, the final was very close, Austin City defeated Millonarios 4-3 on penalties, and thus, they conquered the last trophy of this season.

Alianza 5v5, the event that this year was placed as one of the most anticipated due to the intensity and adrenaline with which every minute of the game is played, closed the season in Austin with 12 teams and 96 players, four teams were consecrated as the last champions of the lightning tournament of the tour.

Alonso SC won the U10 category by defeating Futbol ATLAS FC SATX 3-0, Leones Negros 2012, with authority defeated Rayados McAllen 6-1 in the U12, for the U14 Leon FC ATX won 4-1 against Strikers FC and finally, Cuervos RGV was crowned in the U16 against Demolish.

Allstate Sueño Alianza closed its 2022 season with a record of 288 participants, of which 22 were invited to try out against professional teams and four of them received the blue scarf, which opens the doors to the national finals.

Throughout the 10 cities, 4,853 players were present at the tryouts, 344 received invitations to appear in Liga MX and MLS clubs, and 64 futbol players who were called to show off their talent in Allstate Sueño Alianza National Showcase, a unique event of its kind that will be attended by more than 25 viewers, and representatives of the Mexican Soccer Federation and US Soccer.
