Nico Carrera, one of the most talented players that Allstate Sueño Alianza has seen in its twenty-year history, has arrived in Mexico to strengthen Toluca in Liga MX.
Carrera's signing with the Diablos Rojos is further proof of the success of the Sueño program, having achieved promotion to the German Bundesliga with Holstein Kiel after 123 years.
"I am very excited to start this new adventure at this historic institution. Let the good times begin!" Carrera posted on his social media.
It was in 2016 when Frisco, Texas, witnessed the birth of a star during local tryouts, leading to his classification for the National Showcase, where he was recognized as one of the Top College Prospects for his footballing quality.
The national event marked the beginning of a young but successful career for Nico, going from tryouts to Club Pachuca, FC Dallas in MLS, Holstein Kiel in Germany, and now signing for the 2024 Apertura tournament with Club Toluca in Mexico. It is worth noting that Nico was a World Cup player with the United States National Team.
At Alianza de Futbol, we congratulate Nico on this new stage in his football career, another success story of the Sueño program for all Hispanics in the United States. Congratulations, Nico!
