Chevron Soccer Academy in Los Angeles was a great success

With about 200 kids, ages 9–15, as participants, Chevron held its second session in partnership with Alianza de Futbol, after hosting its first edition in Salinas, California.

Each of the event attendees enjoyed different activations with their clinics, where they could also be involved in different Giveaways.

As usual in the event, different tryouts were held, attended by scouts from: Pachuca and Mazatlan, of Liga MX; LA Galaxy and Los Angeles Football Club, of Major League Soccer; Mexican National Team and US Soccer.

In addition, they were able to receive advice and practice with Carlos Salcido, a former player of Mexican national team, and clubs such as PSV from Netherlands, Tigres UANL and Chivas from Guadalajara, both Liga MX teams; and Stefany Ferrer van Ginkel, currently playing with Angel City FC in the NWSL.

A Chevron Soccer Academy mission in Los Angeles was to provide professional level soccer training, so that participants could develop their skills to improve their technique.

This is how Alianza, teaming up with Chevron, reaffirms its commitment to support the growth of soccer in North America, with opportunities to reduce the gap in underserved communities.
